Cause: A possible cause for the above conditions is the HVAC after-blow function. The blower fan calibration file may cause the motor to operator, after the ignition is off in a series of cycles, which may drain the battery. This condition may have inadvertently been created by dealers installing a new calibration file that the manufacturer had recommended. Correction: Follow the manufacturers recommended diagnostic and repair procedures, which include verifying that the after-blow calibration file is disabled on customer vehicles where dead/low batteries have been an issue.
