“dixie verse gy TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: NA Applications: 2011 — 2012 Chevrolet Volt Condition: The operator of the vehicle may complain that the vehicle will not start and the message “Battery Too Cold, Plug In to Warm” is displayed on the Drivers Information Centre display area. Cause: This will occur if the vehicle has been stored for a prolonged period when the temperatures are colder then -25C (-14F). The electrolyte in the battery will begin to freeze at this temperature, and when frozen the battery warming contacts can not be closed. The gas operated engine, used to charge the battery, does not use a 12V system to start. It uses a 300V system, so the vehicle cannot be “boosted”. Correction: Plug the car in.
