Cause: A potential cause for the above condition is the rear heater. It was designed to remain on after the engine has been turned off to dissipate the heat from the engine. If the blower motor seizes or fails the resistor for the blower motor can become overloaded and deplete the battery or potentially overheat and ignite the ductwork that the blower is attached to. Correction: Follow the manufacturer’s diagnostic and repair procedures when applicable.
