Condition: The operator of the vehicle may complain that the engine does not crank. The technician may observe one or more of the following diagnostic trouble codes stored in the system: P0706 P0707 P1702 Cause: The above conditions may be caused by the output shaft soeed sensor wire being pinched between the main control and transmission case or an intermittent short circuit in the transmission range sensor wire. Correction: Follow the manufacturer’s recommended procedures for inspecting, testing and diagnosing the sensors for grounding problems.
