The engine may start and stall, misfire (backfire) and then once started after then engine has cooled off exhibits no problems. Cause: There are two possible conditions that may cause the above conditions: 1) The power train control module calibration file from the factory had a flaw that would cause problems with the engine starting when hot. 2) The power train control module could be faulty. Correction: Follow the manufacturer’s recommended diagnostic, calibration and/or replacement procedures, when applicable.
