Minutes: ERA Board of Directors Meeting Wednesday November 18, 2009 Start Time 6:30 PM CT Attendees: Wes Grueninger, Henry Henke, Chris Thompson, Ronnie Charnes, Tom Barrett, Joe Bradish, Mike Schroeder, Ken Plourde, Daren Roggentien 1: Treasurers Report: Chris Thompson reported all bills paid in full with a balance of $23,513.33 2: Membership Report: a. Tom Barrett reported as of 11/10/09 there are 434 members. There were 16 non renewals, of these 3 forgot about renewing, 3 phone numbers were not current, 2 would return a call, 7 times were bad and they were watching their spending. b. Tom informed attendees that he had purchased another business and he wouldn’t have the time to do the membership directors job the way he feels it should be done. He would like someone else to step forward and take the position as director and he would stay on the committee. He will remain the director until another director is in place. c. A suggestion was made about contacting suppliers about sharing e-mail lists to contact prospective ERA members. Chris said he would contact some to see if this was a possibility. 3: ERA Trade Show: a. A conference call was had on 11/14/09 with the trade show committee and Polly. Seminars are in the planning stage. Polly thought that she may have to charge a fee to attend seminars at the ERA Trade Show. 4: Tech Committee Report a. Wes reported that the e-mail newsletter is up and running and has been well received. He informed that the hard part has been finished designing the format and that he would try to run 1 per month. b. Training videos are up and running. In the first few days there have been 62 videos watched. c. Tech committee asked for board approval to purchase a video camera to record training videos. Wes thought a good camera could be purchased for approximately $300.00 Motion was made Joe Bradish to authorize the Tech committee to purchase a video camera for appoximately $300.00. Seconded by Henry Henke. All ayes motion carried d. Wes informed all that any tech article could become a training video.
