Minutes: ERA Board of Directors Wednesday October 19″, 2011 Start Time 6:30 pm CDT Attendees: Bob Thomas, Ronnie Charnes, Alan Reynolds, Joe Bradish, Hank Henke, Kenny Turner, Mike Dietrich, Dean Conner, Ken Plourde, Mike Schroeder, Bill Ernst, Wes Grueninger, Joe Davis, Chris Thompson, Daren Roggentien. Guest Attendee: Polly Shea. 1: Treasurers Report: a. Chris Thompson reported a balance in the ERA checking of $27,222.16 with all bills paid in full. b. Chris informed attendees that the ERA has income of $80,749.75 for the current with expenses totaling $71,587.16. 2: Membership Report: Tom Barrett was unable to attend the meeting and forwarded the following information. a. The ERA has 448 members as of the end of September. There were 56 paid renewals and 3 new members for the month. b. Tom explained that Jean Harbrige makes sales calls for EMS as well as the membership calls for the ERA. When Jean makes calls for EMS she promotes the ERA. Tom thinks this is where the confusion comes in about Jean making membership calls to current members of the ERA. Mike Schroeder asked if Jean has a current membership list and if not she should have one. Mike added that he would have Darlene fax Jean a current membership list. c. Tom informed that Jean is trying to educate prospective members that just because they receive the ERE Newspaper that does not make them members of the ERA. d. Tom has talked with Darlene at the ERA office and she had received 2 renewals from past members for the month. e. Tom informed that Jean wanted to extend her thanks for the card and flowers she received from the ERA. Tom also thanked Chris Thompson for providing the opportunity for Jean to make membership calls for the ERA. f. Wes Grueninger reported that he has sent out 130 of the DVD’s. Wes informed that DVD’s have been sent to members as well as non-members. 3: Technical/Training Committee Report: a. Mike Schroeder reported that most of the monthly meeting was spent discussing training seminars for the 2012 ERA Trade Show. b. Bob Thomas informed attendees that the Technical Line usage was up for the month.
