ERA Board of Trustees Update Editor’s note: The Electrical Rebuilders’ Association Board of Trustees meets twice monthly via conference call in order to take care of a variety of issues that can’t wait until the entire board gets together twice a year. In order to keep our members up to date, the trustees have decided to print highlights of their meeting minutes in the Exchange each month. Wednesday, July 7, 2004 Highlights: ¢ First item discussed was the plan- ning meeting for the 2005 ERA Show. Efforts are being made to ensure a majority of the board will be able to attend the meeting set for September 11 in King of Prussia, Penn. Daily progress is being made on the Web site, although building the membership portion is taking longer than expected. Public por- tions of the site are currently working, including the “Find a Rebuilder’ tool. Six suppliers have taken advantage of the 30-day free ad on the forum pages. The remaining three 2004 “Keep It Current” seminars were discussed. The Long Island seminar will be held at York College in Jamaica, Queens with AMSCO-Valley Forge hosting an open house Friday before the seminar. The college has plenty of parking for attendees who drive. September 25 is set for the Salt Lake City seminar at the REXCO-Salt Lake warehouse in Murray, Utah. REXCO will host an open house following the semi- nar. Northwest Regulator will host the Portland event with a supplier showcase following the seminar. Wednesday, July 21, 2004 Highlights: e Due to a scheduling conflict with the convention center, the spring ERA Show has been moved from mid-May to April 1 through 3. ¢ A tri-fold brochure is being devel- oped for association publicity. e The Web site is ready for its “Grand Opening.’ ERA members’ names are being loaded so they will have instant access if they have been using the EREN. Non- members will have to apply for a 30-day guest pass. ERA members who have not been using the EREN will need to apply for a username and password, but their names are already in the database. A letter explaining Web site sponsorship opportunities will be mailed to supplier members once the site is open.
