‘dixie verse gy TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: S-1466 S-1495 S-1523 TBA Applications: 2006 — 2009 Chevrolet HHR 2006 — 2009 Pontiac Solstice 2007 — 2008 Daewoo G2X 2007 — 2009 Opel GT 2007 — 2009 Saturn Sky Condition: The operator of the vehicle may complain of one or more of the following conditions: – An intermittent failure to start – An intermittent extended cranking cycle – The engine starts and immediately stalls – The check engine light comes on – The airbag light comes on – Intermittent functionality of electrical devices – Intermittent reduced power steering assistance. The technician may observe the diagnostic trouble codes P0442 or P0449 stored in the memory. Cause: A possible cause for the above condition is a damaged under hood fuse block connector that may have been damaged during manufacturing of the vehicle. Inspect the plug for wires/terminals that appear to have been pushed out. During assembly if the male pin was not aligned with the female connector it may have been pressed partially out, allowing for intermittent contact conditions to occur. Correction: Inspect and repair the under hood fuse block following the manufacturer’s recommended procedures.
