This condition may exist even if the battery, starter and alternator have been replaced. Cause: A potential cause for this is a short or open circuit in the wiring harness as the factory configuration had the wiring harness run across the front of the engine and transmission cases. The transmission case has a sharp edge which may over time scrape and/or sever the wiring harness. Correction: The wiring should be inspected and repaired as necessary. When completed the wiring should be protected using loom and plastic ties to route the wiring in a manner that prevents reoccurrence.
