Cause: A possible cause for the above is that the alternator may not be charging. A possible cause identified by the manufacturer is that the terminals in the regulator connector may have broken. The wiring harness being too short may be the source of the problem as the terminals are damaged due to engine vibration. Correction: The manufacturer has developed an improved wiring harness to correct the problem. The harness, part number E7DZ-14489-B, will need to be properly spliced, soldered and insulated following the manufacturers recommended procedures.
