Condition: The operator of the vehicle may complain of one ore more of the following conditions in colder temperatures (below the freezing point): – the engine stumbles after a cold start during acceleration – the engine stalls after the initial cold start – anextended crank cycle or hard starting after stalling – ano Start condition after stalling Cause: A potential cause for the above conditions is a faulty calibration file and/or power train control module. Correction: Verify that there are no diagnostic trouble codes stored in the system and correct the associated problems prior performing any work on the power train control module or the calibration file. Follow the manufactures recommended procedures when changing the calibration file or the power train control module.
