1ode ) TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: S-6109 S-8205 Applications: 1991 — 1993 Jeep Wrangler Condition: The operator of the vehicle may complain that the vehicle starts without the start sequence being initiated by the operator. The starter may crank while the engine is already running or the starter may be completely burnt out. Cause: A potential cause for the above conditions is a short circuit between the starter switch wire and the battery positive cable in the bulk head. During manufacturing the two wires were not adequately isolated to prevent chaffing against each other. Correction: Follow the manufacturer’s recommended repair procedures to isolate the two wires.
