Cause: A potential cause for the above condition is a flaw in the key and identification chip. Correction: Check for diagnostic trouble codes first and if none are found follow the manufacturer’s diagnostic and repair procedures, which including replacing the keys and reprogramming the security system (SKIM), if applicable.
