The technician will not observe any diagnostic trouble codes stored in the system Cause: A potential cause for the above condition is one or more fuel injectors leaking. This results in fuel seeping into the cylinder creating an improper fuel/oxygen ratio (flooding the engine) and prevents the engine from starting. Correction: Follow the manufacturer’s recommended diagnostic and repair procedures which include checking the fuel rail pressure with the engine running when hot (should be around 35 bar) and then turning off the engine and the pressure should remain above 25 bar for 10 minutes. If the pressure is less then this remove the spark plugs and check for fuel leaking into the cylinders.
