dixie JTECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: A-6250 A-6252 160-84103 160-84104 160-84105 160-84106 Applications: Thermo King SB 110 Refrigeration Units Thermo King SB 210 Refrigeration Units Thermo King SB 310 Refrigeration Units Thermo King Spectrum SB 30 Refrigeration Units Thermo King Spectrum SB 50 Refrigeration Units Thermo King SL 400e Refrigeration Units Conditions: The technician may observe error code 120 after replacing the alternator in the vehicle. The error code will appear when the standing test is performed but when running no issues or error codes will appear. Cause: There are functionally 2 different alternators for the applications, excluding amperage and finish of the castings. Correction: Follow the manufacturer’s recommended installation procedures, which for Bosch type alternators require the removal of fuse F4 (2A) from the system but if using the Leece Neville type require the addition of the fuse F4 (2A). The difference is in the design of the voltage regulator: o the Bosch type has a light type circuit to excite the alternator o the Leece Neville has an ignition feed to the regulator Just for fun… both are marked as “L” on the alternators.
