The technician will observe that diagnostic trouble code P0603 is stored in the electronic control module. Cause: The electronic control module will report code P0603 any time that the voltage goes below a predetermined amount and stay in the system until reset. Correction: | Depending on the cause take appropriate action, the code may have been triggered by such events as starting the engine in extreme cold or after leaving the vehicle parked with out starting for an extended period. Additionally the code will be triggered if there is a problem in the charging system (such as poor wiring or a faulty battery). After performing an evaluation of the condition of the charging system reset the electronic control module following the manufacturer’s recommended procedures.
