1ode ) TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: A-8300 S-6154 Applications: 1996 Dodge Neon 1996 Plymouth Neon Condition: The operator of the vehicle may complain of various electrical problems including: – Stalling and/or failure to start – Erratic charging Cause: A potential cause for the above condition is that the engine wiring harness was routed in close proximity to the exhaust gas recirculation tube and over time may chaff and short circuit to ground. Correction: The manufacturer recommends inspecting and repairing the wiring and re- routing the wiring harness away from the gas recirculation tube, when applicable.
