The engine may start if the accelerator pedal is pressed down slightly. Cause: A potential cause for the above conditions is a flaw in the engine control module software that does not open the electronic throttle valve adequately, preventing sufficient airflow. Correction: Follow the manufacturer’s recommended repair procedures to diagnose and update the engine control module software if applicable.
