mxIe ) TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: A-8162 S-8246 Applications: 1989 — 1990 Nissan Maxima Condition: The operator of the vehicle may complain of one or more of the following conditions: e A weak or low battery. e A failed battery. e Hard or slow cranking The technician may observe diagnostic trouble code DTC0013. Cause: A potential cause for the cylinder head temperature sensor wiring harness. The harness can short out and cause the cooling fans to run until the battery is dead. Correction: Inspect and repair or replace the wires and sensor. Follow the manufacturer’s recommended procedures for re-routing the wires away from the cylinder head.
