“dixie verse gy TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: A-9480 A-80363 A-80399 S-1497 S-1523 S-80280 Applications: 2008 Saturn Vue Condition: The technician, when performing diagnostic work, may notice that the back lighting for the hazard switch and headlamp switch stays on, even with the key removed, resulting in a parasitic drain on the battery. Cause: The system is designed so that once the key is removed, the backlight for the hazard switch and headlamp switch remains on. The backlighting remains on for 10 minutes after the key is removed. Correction: When diagnosing battery drain issues make sure that the parasitic drain test is performed after waiting the 10 minute shutdown period. Failure to do so will give readings that are misleading as the system is still active.
