ELECTRICAL REBUILDER’S ASSOCIATION BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING Wednesday, April 27, 2005 The meeting began at 7:35 pm via conference call. Mike Schroeder, Alan Melton, Chris Thompson, AJ Campbell and Bob Thomas were in attendance. Polly Shea did not attend. AJ attended the meeting as part of a new policy whereby one regional vice-president will attend each trustee meeting. Chris gave the financial following report: ERA General Fund $53582.61 As of April 1, 2005 ERA Training Fund —$-1120.35 ERA Account Balance $53582.61 He noted that the training fund deficit was expected since Joe is being paid monthly rather than after each seminar. This was done to spread the cost of the seminars out over the whole year and will balance out at the end of the year. Show business was first discussed and everything is on track for the ERA booth. The computer is ordered, the raffle drum and tickets have been ordered. The lapel pins and portfolios have been ordered. Mike reported that Darlene has already begun to assemble materials in the office for transport to the show. Next item of business pertained to the SAE document of rebuilding standards, which is now over 10 years old. Alan said the SAE asked him if a rebuilding association might be interested in updating the publication. Several viewpoints were discussed but no decision was made. Bob brought up an email request from the Toro Company for a list of ERA members who might help Toro explore the possibility of setting up an OE reman program for alternators and starters. The request was not very specific, so it was decided that someone from the association should make a personal contact. Chris volunteered to find out specifically what they need, and how the association and it’s members could help. The meeting concluded at 9:10. The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 4″.
