Minutes: ERA Board of Directors Wednesday June 20, 2012 Start Time 6:30pm CDT Attendees: Bob Thomas, Ronnie Charnes, Wes Grueninger, Tom Barrett, Joe Bradish, Henry Henke, Kenny Turner, Bill Ernst, Darlene Schroeder, Drew Withrow, Dean Conner, Mike Dietrich, Ken Plourde, Chris Thompson, Jerry Kieffer, Daren Roggentien. 1: Treasurers Report: a. Chris Thompson reported a balance in the ERA checking of $28,628.40 with all bills paid in full. b. Chris informed attendees that taxes for the 2011 year were complete and filed. 2: Membership Committee Report: a. Ken Plourde reported that he and Darlene Schroeder have finished a preliminary form for delinquent members for the Membership Committee to work with. After discussion Wes Grueninger would like to have a column added to the form that shows when a delinquent member has paid. Bob Thomas would like members that haven’t paid and are not interested at the time to be left on the form for future use. Ken informed that he would make the changes to the form and repost. b. Tom Barrett reported that Darlene had sent him the following membership information. For the month of May there were 445 current members. There were 28 renewals and 3 new members. 3: Technical/Training Committee Report: a. Bob Thomas reported that the ERA Tech. Line is working fine and has had normal usage. The normal number of calls this time of year are 4-5 per day. b. Bob Thomas and Gene Kaiser talked about an upcoming article on diode leakage for stator activated voltage regulators. c. Bob informed that Wes had finished up several projects in the last 30 days and is currently working on scanning old industry catalogs like Ace Field Coils and Accurate Starter Drives. This will start a resources library for members looking for parts for older starter and generators. 4: Old Business: a. ERA Office Software: 1. Ken Plourde reported that the ERA Office is still using the same software. Ken informed that several problems have been corrected. 2. Darlene Schroeder informed that the computer and software are working well. b. Exide Buying Group: 1. Tom Barrett informed that he has been in contact with a representative from Exide. The Exide Buying Group is being put together and Tom will have more information as it becomes available.
