Minutes 2020 ERA Trade Show Committee August 3″, 2019 Ken Plourde called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm central time. Attendees: Art Glass, Ken Plourde, Stephanie Schroeder, Mike Dietrich, Michele Schroeder, 1: a. Mike Schroeder, Mohammad Samii, Gene Kaiser, Daren Roggentien. Information: Mike Schroeder reported that He, Michele and Mohammad traveled to Cincinnati on the weekend of August 2? to meet with representatives from the Cincinnati Holiday Inn Airport and the Marriot Hotels. Mike informed that the Holiday Inn is structured like the Hotel that hosted the ERA Trade Show in Dearborn, Michigan. The Marriot was a litter nicer but more expensive. The Hotels are located in Northern Kentucky near the airport and are 6-7 miles from downtown Cincinnati. Mike informed that he had secured dates at the Holiday Inn for March 25″ thru 28″, 2020 with room rates at $99.00 per night. The rate includes free continental breakfast each day, free parking and free shuttle service. There are restaurants and shopping areas nearby that could be driven to or the Holiday Inn would provide free shuttle service. Mike reported that the ERA would have to do $6,000.00 in food and beverage for the weekend and be within 80% of 200-210 room nights to receive the $99.00 room night. There is no electronic signage but the Holiday Inn would provide Signage Boards. Ken questioned the extra day as a few members had concerns at previous ERA Trade Shows. Mike explained that the J&N Tour would have to be done on Thursday because of possible travel problems with traffic on Friday. Mike added that to be able to meet the food and beverage requirements we would need to do lunch buffets on Friday and Saturday. Mike added that he is working with J&N on arrangements at their facility. Mike informed that the Convention and Visitors Bureau will provide information on Transportation Companies and supply name tags and lanyards at no cost to the ERA. 2: Saturday Evening Event: a. Mike informed that there is not a lot to do in the area for a Saturday evening event. Mike added that they toured a Sign Museum that makes Neon Signs that could be a possibility and will get more information for the next ERA Trade Show Committee meeting. Ken made a motion to accept the Holiday Inn proposal and set the dates for the 2020 ERA Trade Show to be held in Cincinnati, Ohio for March 25t_ggth 2020. A second was made by Mohammad Samii. All ayes. Motion approved. Mike will continue to work out the arrangements with J&N, Transportation Companies, etc. Michele will forward information to Bob Thomas to start promoting the 2020 ERA Trade Show on the ERA Web Site and the Exchange Magazine. A motion was made by Mike Schroeder to adjourn the meeting. Gene Kaiser made a second to the motion. All ayes. Meeting adjourned at 8:00 pm ct.
