Cause: A potential cause for the above condition is if the key is left in the ON position when a battery charger, boost pack or second vehicle is used to jump starts the engine. This may cause the serial data bus contactors to remain open until the Hybrid Control Module is reset. Correction: Follow the manufacturer’s recommended procedures for resetting the control module. Also review the manufacturer’s recommended procedures for boosting/charging a dead battery to prevent reoccurrences.
