The engine will not start. The “Service Engine Soon.” light is illuminated. The transmission does not shift properly. The vehicle will not move (the transmission will not engage). Diagnostic codes P0708, Po872, P0847, P0857, P1711 or P1713 may be stored in memory. Cause: Moisture may have contaminated the neutral switch causing this condition (Park Neutral Position). When turning left, water spray from the left front tire is directed onto this switch. There are front and rear shields, which are vital to a proper repair of this condition. Correction: Follow the diagnostic and repair procedures in the manufacture’s service bulletin.
