Cause: The cranking cycle is control by the PCM, the key activates a relay and the start cycle time is controlled by the PCM. The engine uses a specially designed fuel pump to be compatible with the E85 fuel. This fuel pump can take 1 or 2 seconds to build up pressure, most often after the vehicle has sat for a few hours. Correction: This is a design feature of the vehicle and the cycle is limited to protect the starter. The only correction is to inform the customer of this feature. Note: When the key is turned to the off position the cranking stops.
