Cause: When towing the vehicle the key should be in the ACC position. This causes the body control module to be active and drains the battery. Correction: The manufacturer recommends that the 1 or 2 30A Maxifuses be removed to prevent parasitic drain while towing the vehicle: On the L series: the 2 30A Maxifuses are located in the under- hood fuse box and are marked as IGN 0/3/CR and IGN 1 / 2. On the S series: the 30A Maxifuse is located in the under-hood fuse box and is marked IGN 1 / 4. Follow the manufacturers’ procedures and warnings for towing the vehicle.
