’ hivio asezucas / TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: A-9381 Applications: 2006 Buick Rendezvous 3.5L (VIN L— RPO LX9) Condition: Operators of the vehicle may complain that the charge warning light or alternator light comes on when accelerating or driving up hills. Cause: A potential cause for the above issue is electromagnetic interference in the alternator induced by the ignition coils as they are extremely close to each other. Correction: The vehicle manufacturer has an updated calibration file for the powertrain control module to correct this and relocating the ignition coils is not required. Follow the manufacturer’s recommended procedures when updating the powertrain control module calibration file.
