The draw may be constant or fluctuating to the milliamp range. Cause: A potential cause for this is when accessories are incorrectly installed and are wired into circuit 6815, which drives the courtesy lights. If a load is applied to the courtesy light circuit the body control module may remain in the “awake” mode. Correction: To determine if an accessory is the cause of the excessive drain pull pin 1 out of connector 2 at the body control module and see if the drain still remains, if the drain goes away look for aftermarket accessories such as audio, anti theft or GPS equipment. Also check for improperly installed OE equipment.
