Cause: A potential cause for this is a faulty idler pulley located along the belt path between the water pump and the power steering pump and/or drive belt as listed below. Correction: On Vehicles built prior to 11/9/2007 and equipped with the dual alternator the idler pulley located between the power steering pump and the water pump must be replaced (dealer number 7C3Z-8678-B). On 2008 and 2009 model year vehicles with a single alternator the drive belt must be replaced (dealer number AC3Z-8620-A).
