Cause: A possible cause for this is a malfunctioning ABS pump, which may continue to run after the ignition has been turned off. Due to the pump’s location it may be running with out being audible. This is caused by water getting into the relay and corroding the contacts. When the contacts are corroded they remain in the open condition triggering the ABS pump to run until the battery is depleted. Correction: The manufacturer has released a kit to rectify this situation, part number FOVY-14A303A. The kit includes a new ABS motor, relay and wiring. The kit relocates the relay to prevent future water contamination. Follow the manufacturer’s recommended procedures when installing the kit.
