Cause: The engine ground stud that attaches the grounding cable between the battery and the engine may become loose resulting in the engine grounding through alternate routes, including the dash and radio wiring. Correction: Follow the manufacturer’s recommended procedures for inspecting and replacing the engine ground stud, radio suppression strap and other surrounding components.
