Cause: A possible cause for this is excessive parasitic/quiescent draw. A trunk warning light input to the instrument cluster is a possible cause for the excessive draw. Correction: With the vehicle locked using the remote key wait approximately 15 minutes for all systems to go into the sleep mode. Measure the system current draw. If the draw is more then 325mA further diagnostics is required. Follow the manufacturer’s recommended procedures to determine the cause and if required install a diode in the wiring harness at the instrument panel (dealer part number 1Y0 970 082).
