mxIe ) TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: S-6255 Applications: 2004 Audi RS6 Condition: The operator of the vehicle may complain of one or more of the following conditions: – The engine cranks slowly. – The engine intermittently does not crank. The technician may observe a high voltage drop in the negative portion of the circuit. Cause: A potential cause for the above condition is a loose or corroded ground- strap connection at either the engine block or right side rail location. Correction: Follow the manufacturer’s recommended procedures to inspect and correct the ground connection which includes replacing the nut with the a new one, manufacturer’s number 1J0 971 254 A.
