Cause: A potential cause for the above condition is a faulty wire bridge in the fuse box installed between terminals 36 and 38. Correction: Ensure that the battery is fully charged and inspect the wire bridge prior to performing any work on the starter or alternator. Also verify that the engine ground strap has not deteriorated. If the bridge is in poor condition replace it with an equal or larger size of wire. If the engine ground is in poor condition clean the terminals and contact surfaces and replace the strap if required.
