The malfunction indicator lamp may be illuminated but not in all cases. The technician may observe one or more of the diagnostic trouble codes stored in they system memory P0110, P0111, P0116, P161B, P1295, P2105, P2106 but again, not in all cases. Cause: A possible cause for the above condition is the engine control module and compatibility with regional fuel additives. Correction: The manufacturer has released an update for the engine control module software, follow the manufacturer’s recommended procedures for verifying if the update is required and performing the update, if required.
