’ divio asavecas / TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: A-6307 A-8395 S-6526 Applications: 1991 Peugeot 405 (Mi 16) Condition: The operator of the vehicle may complain of one or more of the following conditions: – Cranks with out starting. – Various erratic electrical problems. – Major electrical failure. – Under hood fire. Cause: A potential cause for the above condition is that the engine wiring harness was routed in close proximity to the alternator and over time may chaff and short circuit to ground. Correction: The manufacturer recommends inspecting the wiring, repairing any damage and re-routing the wiring harness away from the alternator (when applicable).
