chiwia . & | [| { 8 | anees / TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: A-80041, A-9311 Applications: 2001 — 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe with 2.7L engines Condition(s): 1) Engines stalling at idle, then not starting due to reduced battery power, especially when the weather is hot and humid. OR 2) Asharp noise from the air conditioning compressor predominantly noticed immediately following the engine being started. Cause: The electronic control module initially did not account for the compressor being run for extended periods at idle. The vehicles electronic control module may require reprogramming to correct this problem. Correction: Follow the manufactures recommend procedures for reprogramming the electronic control module. Take care when performing this service, as certain production ranges require that the oxygen sensor be replaced when performing the reprogramming.
