LEXIE } TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: TBA Applications: 2011 Subaru Forester 2.5L, up until VIN B#76776 and engine number 103314 Conditions: The operator of the vehicle may complain of difficulty starting the engine. Cause: A potential cause for the above condition is manufacturing variations in the camshaft position sensor plate resulting in an out of specification air gap between the cam shaft position sensor and the cam shaft. Correction: Follow the manufacturer’s recommended diagnostic and repair procedures when applicable. The gap should be from 1.26mm to 1.35mm and the manufacturer has a shim kit available to correct this (manufacturer’s part number 10130AA060).
