‘“scliwia | # | [| { & | verse gy TECH TIPS Dixie Part Numbers: A-80397 TBA Applications: 2010 — 2011 Acura MDX 2010 — 2011 Acura ZDX 2011 Honda Odyssey Conditions: The operator of the vehicle may complain that the malfunction indicator displays the message BATTERY CHARGE LOW Cause: The vehicle has software and sensors built in that measure the battery state of charge and changes from the engine off time until when it is restarted. Short voltage drops, such as when the power tailgate is opened, are ignored; however, aftermarket accessories or using the manufacturer installed electronic devices for an extended period with the engine off may trigger this code. Correction: The manufacturer has released an update for the battery sensor software and a specialized flash pack tool is required. The update will resolve the issue for the factory installed options but not for if there are aftermarket accessories installed that consume excessive parasitic draw. IF the software was updated the 7″ digit of the engine compartment VIN will have a dot stamped over it.
