Cause: A possible cause for this is excessive quiescent draw (parasitic drain) in the system. On some vehicles the automatic headlight system does not shut off completely resulting in a drain of between 30 and 200 mA. Correction: The manufacture recommends installing a link lead with an isolation diode into the vehicle wiring harness. Follow the manufacture’s recommended procedures for installing the isolation diode.
