Cause: A possible cause is a rear window defogger switch that was left on after short trips. The factory-installed switch did not have a timer to limit how long the defogger would remain on. Correction: The manufacturer has released a replacement switch that will limit the time that the defogger will remain on. There is a kit, which contains the corrected switch and a heat shield for the battery to address the situation.
