Cause: A possible cause for the above condition is an improperly set idle speed and/or ignition timing. Correction: The table below identifies the proper idle speed for each model. For each automatic transmission listed the gear selector is in the N (Neutral) position. Before checking the idle speed ensure that the engine oil level is correct. An under or overfilled oil level will adversely affect the idle speed.
