The above conditions may be more noticeable in wet/damp weather. Cause: A potential cause for the above conditions is water seeping into the door- ajar switch, which is integrated in to the door lock assembly. The moisture may result in the switch sending a false signal to the body control module. The body control module would read the false signal and activate the system as if the door was open. Correction: Follow the manufacturers’ recommended diagnostic procedures (which include thoroughly washing the car) to monitor the body control module and door-ajar switches to determine if (and which) switch is the cause of the problem.
