ELECTRICAL REBUILDER’S ASSOCIATION—Technical Document SS201405A wwwelectricalrebuilders.org China-made Tractor Starter Interchange Tip BY LARRY HAGEMEISTER We recently ran across a starter on a Chinese tractor with a part number clearly visible, ZT 76-414. However, I discovered that there was no cross reference information anywhere on that particular number. I knew that it looked familiar, —§ OF Chinese starter (top) and 18203 and with a little research, discovered the rep/acement (bottom) Chinese tractor was using a clone of a popular Yanmar starter, Hitachi $114- 414 or Lester number 18203. In the photo, you can see the original Chinese starter next to a Mitsubishi version of the 18203 that we had in stock. If you occasionally see starters from Chinese tractors, you might want to keep this one in mind for an interchange option. Larry is the owner of Hagemeister Enterprises, Inc. , Lebanon, Ore.
