ELECTRICAL REBUILDER’S ASSOCIATION BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING Wednesday, March 2, 2005 The meeting began at 7:40 pm via conference call. Mike Schroeder, Alan Melton, Chris Thompson, & Bob Thomas were in attendance. Polly Shea did not attend, although she did send an email to convey information relating to the agenda. First topic of discussion pertained to expiring terms of office, and the need to find replacements for some positions. The nominating committee has begun interviewing for the open position of National Vice President. In addition, Alan and Chris agreed to call all Advisory Board members to confirm who will be returning for another year, and if any vacancies will need to be filled. At the same time, they’ll be soliciting for volunteers to hold the director positions (committee chairs). Polly confirmed via email that Joe’s Thursday evening class in Atlantic City will be held in the convention center, and that she had secured the room at no additional charge. She also approved the inclusion of a “hotel page” on the website. In addition she reported she would be meeting with Juan Grube to determine exactly what procedure will be used to get attendees registered for the grand prize drawing, and that she is planning to have a “special guest” to draw the winning tickets at the reception on Saturday afternoon. She said that whatever they decide, it will be fair, uncomplicated, and very carefully planned and executed. All present agreed that it was essential that one person be responsible for the drawing start to finish, and understood that Polly wants to do it. It was decided to let Polly handle the drawing, and the association will concentrate on the booth which will include signage announcing the 2006 show, date and location. Handouts for new and current members were discussed, as well as the purchase of new banners. Polly also confirmed she has commitments from 20 vendors for gifts to give away, and expects to have “something closer to 36 within the next few weeks”. Mike reported that the seminar brochure is nearly ready for printing, possibly by the end of the week. He said that individual registration forms with information for specific seminars will be shipped with the brochures. Details for the Dallas seminar, hosted by WRS have been confirmed and are included on the back of the Dallas registration form. Bob reported that Wes is now concentrating on the seminar and show sections of the website. Once those areas are complete, he plans move back to the supplier section with the goal of completing it before the show. The meeting concluded at 9:30 pm. Respectfully Submitted, Bob Thomas, Secretary
