ELECTRICAL REBUILDER’S ASSOCIATION BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING Wednesday, September 14, 2005 The meeting began at 7:40 pm via conference call. Mike Schroeder, Chris Thompson, Dan Smith, Scott Fureman, Alan Melton, and Bob Thomas were in attendance. Jody Nava and Mike Dietrich were unable to make the meeting. Dan reported that 25 rebuilders attended the Friday evening class at the Boston seminar on September 9″, and 41 attended the Saturday classes. Two new members joined and eight copies of the Terms & Definitions Book were sold. Mike reported that 44 have pre- registered for the Allendale seminar, two each for Minneapolis and Sacramento, and three for Orlando. Bob reported that all seminar information has been sent to Polly for the October and November seminar ads. Bob reported that due to several unrelated problems, Wes would not be filming for the DVD at the next two seminars. The plan now is to do the filming at the Orlando seminar and at a studio in Florida. Dan reported on his latest conversation with Polly, and said she has asked for a regular column from the ERA each month, to include association news and views. Mike pointed out that the problem was finding someone with the time and talent to do it. Dan suggested that Traci Matt be asked about performing the task for a contracted fee. Bob said this was an excellent idea and all agreed to give Dan the green light to contact Traci. Mike reported on his latest meeting with APRA Chairman Michael Droullard and First Vice-Chairman Mike Hill. He said they were both looking forward to the jointly sponsored seminar in Sacramento and the clinic in Charlotte. They invited ERA board members to attend the APRA board meeting in Las Vegas. They also invited the ERA to join in a joint sponsorship of an Electrical Clinc in 2005 in Vancouver. All agreed the dialog has been fruitful, is in the best interest of the industry and should continue with caution. Scott reported that Jody is working on the revised bylaws, incorporating all the changes that were approved at the Board of Advisors meeting in Charlotte. The next meeting was set for Wednesday, October 5. It was agreed to begin discussion of the 2006 budget in that meeting. The meeting concluded at 9:20 pm. Respectfully Submitted, Bob Thomas, secretary Regional VP Schedule October 5 Hank Henke, AJ Campbell & Larry Hagemiester October 19 Scott Fureman, Jody Nava & Mike Dietrich
