ELECTRICAL REBUILDER’S ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING Wednesday, October 19, 2005 The meeting began at 7:45 pm via conference call. Mike Schroeder, Mike Dietrich, Joe Davis, Scott Fureman, Dan Smith, Chris Thompson, Alan Melton, AJ Campbell and Bob Thomas were in attendance. Joe attended the meeting to aid in the selection of cities for the 2006 seminars. All agreed that every effort should be made to find hosts for each seminar, and the cities were chosen based on possible hosts and the coverage of areas where a seminar was not held this year. After much discussion, the following cities were provisionally chosen for consideration: Hartford, CT; Cleveland, OH; Chicago, IL; Kansas City, MO; Denver, CO; Salt Lake City, UT; Los Angeles, CA; Corpus Christi, TX; Montgomery, AL; Miami, FL; Charlotte, NC; Toronto, ON; Vancouver, BC. A final decision on seminar locations will be made in November. The remaining 2005 seminars were discussed and all details seem to be in order. The membership drive is getting a late start, but the brochures have been shipped to Dennis Jacinto, who is seeing to the mailing. Bob suggested a letter accompany the brochure and Mike S. agreed to write the letter and email it to Dennis by Friday. The 2006 budget was discussed in general. Chris agreed to compile a list of expenses for 2005 to date, so that they can be compared to the current budget and use the figures to prepare the 2006 budget at the next meeting. Mike S. reminded everyone he would be attending the APRA convention, and reminded everyone that our board members have been invited to attend their board meeting as guests. Alan said he would also attend. Bob suggested they talk to Mark Kothe and Bill Gager about the new APRA online wiring diagram program. They will also be talking about possibly co- ordinating joint sponsorship of some of the 2006 seminars. The meeting concluded at 9:35 pm. The next meeting is scheduled for November 2.
