ELECTRICAL REBUILDER’S ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING Wednesday, November 2, 2005 The meeting began at 7:45 pm via conference call. Mike Schroeder, Joe Davis, Dan Smith, Chris Thompson, Jody Nava and Bob Thomas were in attendance. Mike began the meeting by sharing his experiences at the APRA Show in Las Vegas, and the APRA meetings he attended. He said that every APRA board member he talked to was interested in working with the ERA for the good of the industry. Everyone agreed the two associations could remain separate, but still work together. Mike said the meetings were primarily an information sharing event, and he said they will benefit the ERA and its members. Mike also mentioned that Dennis Jacinto received an award from the APRA for his “statesmanship” in bringing the two organizations together to co-operate toward common goals. Next topic was the remaining 2005 seminars, which all seem to be on track to hit projected attendance. That brief discussion was followed by further discussion of the 2006 seminars which are listed below with the names of the companies that have committed to hosting. Joe was very excited by the number of suppliers who approached him at the APRA show about hosting a seminar. As soon at the final list of cities has been selected and hosts are found, Joe will put together a schedule with dates. That schedule will be run by all hosting companies to ensure there are no conflicts before it is published. The goal is to publish the schedule in the January paper, which has a copy deadline of December 10th. Tentative 2006 Seminar Schedule & Hosts Niagara Falls, ON – A.E.R.A.C.
